The Quiet Comfort is a small-batch Castile liquid soap made with an oil blend of 40% olive oil, 40% shea butter and 20% coconut oil. An unscented alternative to our single-oil and olive-and-coconut formulas, with shea butter at the heart of its character.

Your Skin Type

For those who prefer an unscented cleanser and a soap-making blend that includes shea butter. Choose it for its formulation and your washing preferences, rather than as a treatment for dry skin or a skin condition.

Why It Works

✦ 40% olive oil
Olive oil forms one of the two largest portions of the oil blend, connecting this recipe to our olive-based soap range.

✦ 40% shea butter
Shea butter distinguishes this formula from The Oldest Clean and The Daily Renewal. It is used in making the soap, rather than added as a separate leave-on moisturiser.

✦ 20% coconut oil
Coconut oil completes the blend and contributes to its lather. Your washing experience will also depend on water hardness and the amount used.

Made without added fragrance or colorants.

The Scent

Unscented, meaning no fragrance is added. The ingredients may have a mild natural aroma; unscented does not mean completely odourless.

Size & Longevity

500ml with pump dispenser. How long a bottle lasts depends on how often you wash, the amount dispensed and the number of people using it.

Keep the bottle closed between uses and away from direct sunlight. Follow any storage and date information supplied with your bottle.

How to Use

Apply a small amount to wet hands or body, work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Adjust the amount to suit your needs.

Avoid contact with eyes. Stop using if irritation occurs. Use your usual moisturiser if your skin needs it.

What makes this different from the other soaps?
The Oldest Clean uses olive oil as its only soap-making oil. The Daily Renewal uses an 80/20 olive-and-coconut oil blend. The Quiet Comfort uses 40% olive oil, 40% shea butter and 20% coconut oil.

Does it replace moisturiser?
No. This is a rinse-off cleanser. Continue using a moisturiser if your skin needs one.

Is it guaranteed to suit sensitive skin?
No cleanser suits everyone. The absence of added fragrance does not guarantee against irritation. Seek professional advice if you have a diagnosed skin condition.

What are the soap salts in the ingredient list?
The olivate ingredients are olive-derived, the butterate ingredients are shea-derived, and the cocoate ingredients are coconut-derived soap ingredients.

How long will it last?
Usage varies from household to household. Follow the date and storage instructions provided with the finished product rather than relying on a general shelf-life estimate.
