The Oldest Clean is a small-batch Castile liquid soap made with olive oil as its only soap-making oil. No coconut oil, no shea butter and no added fragrance. A pared-back formula for those who prefer the character of pure olive oil soap.

Why It Works

✦ Olive oil, without a blend
Olive oil is the sole oil used to make the soap. Its character sets this formula apart from our coconut oil and shea butter blends.

✦ A quieter lather
Pure olive oil soap generally produces less abundant foam than blends containing coconut oil. The amount of lather also depends on your water and how much soap you use.

✦ Four listed ingredients
Water, olive-derived soap ingredients and glycerin. No added perfume or colorants, and no unnecessary promise that one cleanser will suit everyone.

The Scent

Unscented, meaning no fragrance is added. The ingredients may have a mild natural aroma; unscented does not mean completely odourless.

Size & Longevity

500ml with pump dispenser. How long a bottle lasts depends on how often you wash, the amount dispensed and the number of people using it.

Keep the bottle closed between uses and away from direct sunlight. Follow any storage and date information supplied with your bottle.

How to Use

Apply a small amount to wet hands or body, work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Adjust the amount to suit your needs.

Avoid contact with eyes. Stop using if irritation occurs. Use your usual moisturiser if your skin needs it.

Does it contain added fragrance?
No. There is no added perfume or essential oil. A mild natural ingredient aroma may still be present.

Is it intended for babies?
We do not make a baby-suitability claim for this product. Ask a qualified healthcare professional about an appropriate cleanser for an infant.

Why does it lather less than other soaps?
Its sole soap-making oil is olive oil, rather than a blend containing coconut oil. Expect a less abundant lather; foam volume alone does not determine cleansing performance.

Does it replace moisturiser?
No. Cleansing and moisturising serve different purposes. Continue using a moisturiser if your skin needs one.

What are Potassium Olivate and Sodium Olivate?

How long will it last?
Usage varies from household to household. Follow the date and storage instructions provided with the finished product rather than relying on a general shelf-life estimate.
