Behind the Label: The Craft Behind Every Aromatic Treasures Bottle

Behind the Label: The Craft Behind Every Aromatic Treasures Bottle

Every bottle that leaves our workshop carries more than a product inside it — it carries a decision. A decision about what goes in, how it's made, and how it's presented to the world. Today we're pulling back the curtain on something we've been quietly working on: our product labels.

Why Labels Matter More Than You Think

A label is the first physical thing a customer reads. Before they smell the soap, before they feel the texture, before they experience anything — they read the label. For us, that means the label has to do a lot of work. It needs to communicate the formula, the ingredients, the brand, and the values — all in a small space, all at once.

Getting that right takes time. More time than most people would expect.

Where We Are Right Now

Please note: The labels shown on our website are currently design templates. Orders placed at this time will receive bottles with blank labels. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we finalise our packaging.

To be transparent with you — we're still in the process of finalising our labels. What exists across our product range right now are working templates. The design direction is locked in, the content is accurate, and the regulatory groundwork is done. But the physical printed labels are not yet on the bottles.

We're sharing this because we believe in being honest about where we are. The products themselves are ready. The formulations are complete. The labels are in progress — and when they're done, they'll be worth the wait.

What We've Been Building

Our soap labels follow a structured three-panel wrap-around design — front, back, and skirt — each with a specific job. The front carries the brand and product name. The back carries the full INCI ingredient list, batch number, and product-of-origin details. The skirt carries the safety and contact information required under EU cosmetics regulation.

Every element has been considered deliberately. The black background. The cream text. The gold accents. The Bodoni Moda typeface. These aren't arbitrary choices — they reflect the brand we're building: natural ingredients, serious formulation, premium presentation.

The Perfume Labels Are Coming

We're currently working on labels for our perfume oil range — The Permanence Of Warmth — and they'll follow the same design language as the soap labels. Same palette, same typography, same structured layout. The goal is a cohesive shelf presence, so whether you pick up a soap or a perfume, you immediately know it's Aromatic Treasures.

The perfume bottles are smaller — roll-on and dropper formats — so the label dimensions are different, but the identity will be unmistakably the same.

And Then There Are the Boxes

Labels are only part of the story. We're also working on packaging boxes for our products — because the unboxing experience matters just as much as what's inside. The same design principles apply: clean, considered, premium. Nothing excessive, nothing cheap. Just packaging that feels like it belongs with the product it's protecting.

More on that as it develops.

Formulated to EU Standards

Every label we produce is built around EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. That means correct INCI nomenclature, descending ingredient order, allergen declarations where required, PAO symbols, batch traceability, and responsible person details. It's not glamorous work, but it's the foundation that makes everything else trustworthy.

We don't cut corners here. If a GC/MS report is needed to confirm allergen levels, we get it. If a safety assessor needs to sign off, we wait for sign-off. The label you read is accurate — not approximate.

Made in Estonia

Every product is handcrafted in small batches in Tartu, Estonia. The labels say Made in Estonia because that's exactly what it is — not a marketing line, but a fact. Small batch. Real ingredients. Real process.

We're proud of what's going on the bottles. We think you will be too.
